One More Page is a new fortnightly podcast all about kids’ books, hosted by SCBWI members, writers and avid readers, Kate Simpson, Liz Ledden and Nat Amoore.
The podcast is aimed at all ages, and is essentially a bookish fan club for anyone with an interest in kids’ books. With a recent boom in book podcasts, including several in the YA space or for books and authors generally, One More Page aims to fill a gap in podcasts devoted solely to Australian kids’ books.
The podcast has a focus on picture books through to middle grade. It will cast a spotlight on Australian kids’ books and authors, with interviews, book reviews, competitions and more. It also features a kid-centric segment with kids in the lead, talking about books they love, acting out their favourite books and even interviewing authors themselves.
Upcoming guest interviews include debut middle grade author Catherine Pelosi, picture book illustrator Nicky Johnston, authors Jess Walton, Deb Abela and Zanni Louise, and Bethany Macdonald from the State Library of Victoria.
