Sarah Davis - Illustrator Coordinator Australia East/NZ

Sarah has no formal art training, but holds an honours degree in literature, and as a qualified secondary teacher taught English, creative writing and art in NZ secondary schools. Her love and knowledge of language and text play an important part in her process, with sensitive analysis being the key to the interaction between words and pictures. In 2004 Sarah moved to Sydney and began freelancing in commercial illustration for advertising, film, editorial publishing, and toy design. Since 2008 she has worked with a number of well known authors and publishers. She has had 16 books published in Australia and overseas, and her work has been shortlisted for 18 major awards in Australia and New Zealand.
